Tickets Go On Sale August 4

Denver, CO—Opera Colorado is excited to announce that individual tickets for its highly anticipated 2025–26 Season will be available beginning Monday, August 4 at 10:00 a.m. MDT. This season marks the debut of Barbara Lynne Jamison as the company’s Ellie Caulkins General Director & CEO, ushering in a new chapter of leadership. Audiences can look forward to two of the most enduring masterpieces in the operatic canon: Verdi’s La traviata (November 1–9, 2025) and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (May 2–10, 2026), both presented in stunning, traditional productions at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

“It’s an incredible honor to open my first season with Opera Colorado,” says Barbara Lynne Jamison, the Ellie Caulkins General Director & CEO. “We’re bringing two of the world’s most beloved operas—La traviata and Madama Butterfly—to life in bold and unforgettable ways. These productions are unlike anything Denver audiences have experienced, and that’s the beauty of live theatre: each performance is one-of-a-kind, never to be repeated. I can’t wait to share that magic with our community.”

This season also marks two major milestones: the 20th anniversary of the Ellie Caulkins Opera House—our beloved home and one of the region’s premier performing arts venues—and Ari Pelto’s 10th season as Music Director. Stay tuned for special events and celebrations honoring these important moments in our company’s history.

Opera Colorado is also thrilled to announce a new partnership with True Tickets, a secure digital ticketing service that will enhance the way audiences access and experience our performances. Beginning this season, tickets will be delivered digitally—accessible directly from an online wallet. This streamlined, user-friendly approach helps reduce ticket fraud, makes sharing tickets with friends and family easier than ever, and ensures a smoother experience from purchase to performance.

On August 4 only, all ticket buyers will receive one free drink voucher per ticket purchased (up to four per single ticket order and one per subscription seat) with promo code FREEDRINK26.

Tickets for our mainstage season start at just $39 ($47 with fees and taxes). For more information on all programs and prices, visit operacolorado.org or contact Jennifer Colgan at jcolgan@operacolorado.org or 303.468.2025. Read more about the season below.

Packed with unforgettable melodies and powerful drama, La traviata remains one of opera’s most beloved works for good reason. Sara Gartland returns to Opera Colorado after portraying Marie/Marietta in Die tote Stadt to sing the role of Violetta.
